Finished DS9 rewatch. Satisfied, but sad.
Aug. 4th, 2011 12:11 pmWhat a great show. Sure I have some quibbles with the final season (Dukat possessed by a Pah Wraith was definitely a jump-the-shark moment) but overall I was left with a great feeling of satisfaction. Nice tie-ups for all the characters.
My love for Julian Bashir was validated when 3 characters had their last scenes with him (Garak, Miles, and Ezri) and Miles' entire flashback sequence was centered on memories of Julian, set to an instrumental of "Just The Way You Look Tonight." Hilarious!
I was surprised that Worf's flashback sequence was all about Ezri, and had no clips of Jadzia. Maybe it was a budgetary issue (the producers have to pay the actress to use her clips, even though they own the rights to it), but it was a glaring omission.
Now how will I fill my Trek hunger? Guess I'll go watch TNG's "Birthright" since it has Julian in it and is set on DS9. Then I might dip into Voyager and see if it's better than I remembered.
